Vice President, Form Factory

Soufiane Halily is the Vice President of Form Factory at Form Energy. In this role, Soufiane is responsible for designing, building, and launching Form Factory 1 in West Virginia and charting the company’s path to scaled manufacturing globally. Soufiane leads each step of the factory construction process, integrating infrastructure, manufacturing engineering, design, and construction, as well as standing up manufacturing lines for production.

Soufiane began his career as a product design engineer, which shaped his philosophy around designing efficient, state-of-the-art, fully-integrated factories. Prior to joining Form Energy, Soufiane was a Director of Factory Engineering at Tesla, where he led the design and construction of Giga Texas, Tesla’s flagship factory in Austin. He also played a critical role in developing and scaling manufacturing at Tesla’s Giga Nevada, Giga Shanghai, and Fremont factories. Over the course of his career, Soufiane has helped deploy more than 15 million square feet of high-volume manufacturing space.

Soufiane received his Bachelor’s Degree from Toulouse INP-N7 and has earned three Master’s Degrees, including a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Tech.
