Vice President, Advanced Manufacturing

Lalit Savalia is Vice President of Advanced Manufacturing at Form Energy where he leads a team responsible for the innovation and development of manufacturing technologies and processes for Form’s multi-day energy storage systems.

Prior to joining Form Energy, Lalit was Vice President of Operations at Enevate where he led the manufacturing operations team. Under Lalit’s direction, the team focused on the development of a new class of lithium-ion batteries that utilize silicon-dominant anodes.

Lalit began his career at JSW Steel and Lafarge-Holcim and spent several years at John Deere as Manager, Manufacturing Engineering where he led efforts to set up the manufacturing equipment and processes for product lines globally. Following his employment at John Deere, Lalit was VP, Battery Operations at Proterra, Inc. and established the company’s west coast manufacturing site and EV bus assembly line. He then led the development of Proterra’s first fully-automated module assembly and battery pack assembly line.

Lalit holds an MBA from St. Ambrose University, an MS in Mechanical Engineering from University of Nevada – Las Vegas, and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Gujarat Technological University in India.
