Aglae Bornhausen is a technician helping to develop Form Energy’s core technology by building, troubleshooting, maintaining and testing battery cells in our lab.
How did you first learn about Form Energy?

I first learned of Form through my former classmate, and now fellow coworker, Colin.

 

What made you want to work at Form Energy?

Colin messaged me one day about how he had interviewed at Form Energy. I searched Form on Google and the more I read, the more I was intrigued! Everything I learned about the company sounded promising and relative to my values. I’ve always wanted to be part of an innovative movement helping to save the planet. Form’s mission resonated with me and pulled me in.

 

What are your job duties & responsibilities at Form Energy?

I’m responsible for various aspects of battery cell testing and maintenance. As a technician, I have a good amount of flexibility in my workflow and manage my tasks according to cross-team priorities and timelines.

 

What aspect of your role do you enjoy the most?

I love that there is no time to get bored. I most enjoy when I am able to work with my team to solve an obstacle, where each one of us has a responsibility to help complete the task and we are efficient about the solution.

 

What is the most important thing you have learned in your role thus far?

How being kind and empathetic in a cooperative environment has a positive impact on the team as a whole – large and small scale.

 

What about working in the energy storage industry excites you the most?

How innovative the concept is of being able to significantly reduce our carbon footprint through the work going on in our labs.

 

What are your hopes for the energy storage industry?

I hope we are able to make an impact on future decision makers to also progress the movement towards clean energy!

 

What kinds of hobbies and interests do you have outside of work?

I love traveling to beaches, being alone, being in nature with my hammock, reading, and journaling. I also love music, wine and Formula 1!

 

If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?

Fix any car!
